Maschoff Brennan, an intellectual property and complex litigation law firm, expanded its Irvine office with the addition of Shareholder Brent A. Johnson, Ph.D. and Patent Agent Jennifer Zhou, Ph.D.

Johnson assists clients with a variety of intellectual property matters including patent prosecution, BPAI post grant proceedings, due diligence and client counseling. He received his J.D. from Whittier Law School. He also holds a Ph.D. from the University of California in chemistry and a B.S. from Brigham Young University.
Zhou focuses her practice primarily in life sciences where she helps clients with patent preparation and prosecution, non-infringement and invalidity opinions. Zhou has extensive experience in medicinal chemistry. Zhou holds a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry and a B.S. in chemistry from Sozhou University. Zhou also was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Texas A&M University.
