Maschoff Brennan ‘Highly Recommended’ Utah Firm by IP Stars

Managing Intellectual Property magazine released its 2016 IP Stars and listed Maschoff Brennan as a highly recommended Utah law firm. Along with the firm distinction, Eric L. Maschoff and Richard C. Gilmore were listed as IP Stars in the area of patents. Gilmore was also recognized as an IP Star in the area of trademarks.

Maschoff’s practice focuses on strategic counseling, licensing, and patent preparation and prosecution in the computer, electronics, semiconductor, communications, software, and Internet fields. He has extensive experience in developing strategies for protecting client technologies, preparing non-infringement opinions, conducting IP due diligence, and counseling clients in matters relative to strategic IP portfolio management. He received his J.D. from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah and his B.S. in electrical and computer engineering from New Mexico State University.

Gilmore assists clients with patent and trademark application preparation and prosecution domestically and internationally. He represents large and small clients from a diverse range of industries and often works directly with in-house counsel to develop and maintain their worldwide patent and trademark portfolios. His patent practice includes utility and design patents, appeals to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Board of Appeals and Interferences, and reexamination proceedings. He received his J.D. from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah and his B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Utah.
