The Department of Defense and the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve recognized Maschoff Brennan, represented by Managing Member Eric Maschoff, as a patriotic employer Friday. The award recognizes individuals for “contributing to national security and protecting liberty and freedom by supporting employee participation in America’s National Guard and Reserve Force.”
Maschoff Brennan was nominated by Associate Michael Manookin, who currently serves in the Utah Army National Guard. Manookin nominated the firm when his annual two-week training required the firm to decide how to handle his salary and leave.
In his nomination, Manookin said, “The firm members decided, out of an abundance of patriotism and appreciation, not only to maintain my pay for the duration of training, but to also credit me with hours of billed time. I have been profoundly touched by this generosity and patriotism.”
Manookin is the first employee of Maschoff Brennan currently serving in the military. “It’s an honor to support our employees as they serve our country,” said Maschoff. “Michael is a valuable asset to our firm and it was very important to us that we support him in his service.”
