A client focused advocate, Ciera’s practice focuses on intellectual property and employment litigation.  She leverages her collaborative mind-set and broad IP experience to help her clients navigate every stage of the litigation process – from pre-suit evaluation to discovery, trial, and the appeals process.

She has represented clients in a variety of intellectual property matters, with an emphasis on patent, trade secret, trademark, and copyright litigation.  She also has experience litigating complex civil and employment related cases.

Ciera represents clients in a variety of technological fields, including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, software, and information technology.  She is dedicated to proactively addressing each of her client’s needs and providing thoughtful solutions that lead to business-orientated results.

Ciera earned her J.D. from the University of Utah’s S.J. Quinney College of Law, where she was an Articles Editor of The Utah Law Review.  She was also a Judicial Extern for the Honorable David Nuffer in the District of Utah and was named a Hispanic National Bar Association/Microsoft Intellectual Property Law Institute Scholar.  Prior to law school, she received a B.A. in Political Science and a B.S. in International Studies, both from the University of Utah.

When not at work, Ciera enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and dogs, and exploring all that Utah has to offer.  She is an avid skier and golfer, but she takes part in sports of all kinds.  In addition, she loves to travel, both in the U.S. and internationally, loves to read books, and is looking forward to many great adventures in the near future.
