In its annual rankings, Chambers & Partners, honored intellectual property and litigation law firm Maschoff Brennan. The accolades were published in the 2018 edition of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. Shareholders Larry Laycock and Eric Maschoff were also recognized in the publication.
Chambers USA recognized Maschoff Brennan in the area of intellectual property for the state of Utah. According to the Chamber’s website, Maschoff Brennan is known for being a “Growing IP boutique, increasingly active on behalf of nationally significant clients.”

Laycock’s practice focuses on complex and intellectual property litigation. He represents clients in matters relating to patents, trademarks, trade secrets, trade dress, copyrights and other complex litigation issues. He is praised by one market source as “the best patent trial lawyer in the city.”
He’s also recognized by Best Lawyers in America, Mountain States Super Lawyers, IAM Patent 1000, Utah Business Magazine’s Legal Elite and he maintains an AV rating with Martindale. Laycock received his J.D. from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University. He also received his B.A. from BYU.
