Swan & Wright Join Maschoff Brennan

Maschoff Brennan welcomed two associates to its Salt Lake City office. Steven Swan and James Wright will both focus their practice on patent prosecution and procurement.

Swan received his J.D. from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah. He also holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Brigham Young University. Swan authored and published a law review article on the Supreme Court patent case, Alice v. CLS Bank. He also worked to develop calibration methods for General Electric’s deep-sea proximity probes.

Wright worked as an electrical engineer before attending law school. He holds a J.D. from the University of Utah’s S.J. Quinney College of Law. He also received his master’s and bachelor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Utah. Wright also worked to simulate and manage aspects of the western electrical power grid, along with developing medical imaging devices and simulating UAV navigation.
