Park City – Chambers USA released its annual rankings Friday and recognized three attorneys from Park City-based intellectual property law firm Maschoff Brennan. Shareholders Larry R. Laycock, Eric L. Maschoff and C.J. Veverka were listed in the publication. Maschoff Brennan was also ranked for intellectual property law in Utah.
“I think they are outstanding. They are strategic, willing to offer opinions, and very cost-conscious,” said one client during an interview with Chambers. The firm received a Band 2 distinction for intellectual property law in Utah.
Laycock’s practice focuses on complex and intellectual property litigation. He represents clients in matters relating to patents, trademarks, trade secrets, trade dress, copyrights and other complex litigation issues. He’s also recognized by Best Lawyers in America, Mountain States Super Lawyers and Utah Business Magazine’s Legal Elite. Laycock received his J.D. from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University. He also received his B.A. from BYU.
Maschoff assists clients with strategic counseling, licensing, and patent preparation and prosecution in the computer, electronics, semiconductor, communications, software, and Internet fields. Maschoff is also recognized by IP Stars, Best Lawyers in America, Utah’s Legal Elite and the IAM 1000. He received his J.D. from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah and his B.S. in electrical and computer engineering from New Mexico State University.
